Shamseddin Giwa, a Nigerian expert in marital therapy, has issued guidance to unmarried men grappling with erectile dysfunction or fertility challenges, urging them not to conceal these issues from their prospective spouses.

The therapist asserts that the realities of reproductive health and erectile dysfunction are inescapable truths.

Giwa counsels that transparency regarding erectile and fertility concerns is crucial, as concealing the truth could ultimately lead to the disintegration of the marriage and turmoil for both parties involved.

His message on Facebook read: “Dear single man If you have issues with erection, size, and fertility, do well to discuss it with her before engaging her. This truth you cannot hide and the lie will eventually break whatever marriage you think you are achieving,”

Erectile dysfunction is characterized by an erection insufficient for sexual intercourse.

Persistent erectile dysfunction can precipitate stress, erode self-confidence, and exacerbate relationship tensions.

Symptoms of erectile dysfunction include a diminished libido and challenges in achieving or maintaining an erection.

Male infertility can manifest as a low sperm count, poor sperm quality, or blockages in the reproductive tract.

Common causes of male infertility include obstructions in the sperm's path, low sperm count, erectile issues, and hormonal imbalances, all of which can complicate the ability to father children.

Therefore, men must engage in candid discussions with their partners before marriage to collaboratively seek the most effective solutions.
