Distinguished Tongue Event presents ‘The African Artist Showcase & Fundraiser’

The Distinguished Tongue Event Series will present ‘The African Artist Showcase & Fundraiser’ at The Shrine located on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd, New York on July 19. The event will see talented artists from Africa showcase their talent at Harlem’s own African Juke Joint.

From soloists, acoustic bands, to spoken word artists, musicians, and more, the showcase will bring out the best of notable and undiscovered talent hailing from the motherland. The Distinguished Tongue Event Series is a derivative of the National Ghana Parade Council’s initiative to bring Africans and those of the Diaspora together for one common goal – African progress.

As it applauds Africa’s talent it will also culminate the evening with the raising of funds toward the Annual Ghana Parade and the Council’s Kwame Nkrumah Scholarship Fund. Funds raised will be donated to African students who demonstrate academic excellence and collegiate aspirations.
