Although she was initially devastated when she was told by doctors she might never walk again after she was injured in an airline accident last year, gospel artiste Gifty Osei knew her God would not allow her to be confined to a wheel chair for the rest of her life.

She believed since she serves a living God, she would make use of her limbs again if she cries out to Him. And in answer to her prayers, she started walking unaided after using crutches for close to five months.

Gifty Osei was on her way to Accra from Kumasi when a Starbow aircraft on which she was travelling had to do an emergency landing at the Kotoka International Airport last year.

And to show her appreciation to God for saving her life and making her walk again, the Aseda singer is staging a concert dubbed Ubufakazi Bam on October 25 at the Christ Apostle Church, Tema Community 4.

In a chat with Showbiz, on Thursday, Gifty said Ubufakazi Bam which translates as ‘my testimony’ is a South African word and the concert is to thank God for all that He has done for her.

“I want to share my testimony with Ghanaians because God has been good to me and my family. it could have been worse. I could have even lost my life in the accident.

“Apart from my Starbow incident, I have been confronted with so many issues and with each of them, the good Lord finds a way of getting me out of it. What else could I have done but to stage a concert to thank God almighty for His endless love.

Known for songs like Fefeefe, Abuburo Nkosua just to mention a few, Gifty promised her fans to keep supporting her saying “ yes this year has been slow for me but next year is going to be fireworks. I am almost done with my next album and I know it will blow the minds of Ghanaians”, she said
