Does Nkurasesem Clan exist or 'Odo' controversy was a gimmick?

“Eye nokware se ma tia hwe mu Nanso seesei dei me hu amanee ooo Pin me nky?n ma me so wo mu efrise na mekraa nu me nsa tosuo Me twea me twea enbae eye eye me se bribi kraa mu den ooo Wo ne makoma su m’ade nti eya entwitwi wo hu ooo…”

Barely 2 years ago, Highlife song ‘Odo’ by R2Bees and produced by Killbeatz released on July 23, 2012 had an interesting controversy surrounding it. Upon its release, quite a number of the showbiz fraternity confirmed the feel of Okuraseni Samuel’s voice in the song.

While Paedae described the TV3 Mentor fame artiste as an opportunist who want to take advantage of the voice similarity to return unto the music scene and a primitive as his name suggests; Okuraseni Samuel, who was staunch to his facts indicated that indeed his voice ‘shadowed’ Mugeez’s hence, he sang the chorus of the song.

According to the TV3 Mentor 1 participant in an interview last year March, “The voice you hear in the song is mine, ‘Odo’ is a nice track, and it has my spirit in it so whether they accept the truth or not, I have my spirit and voice in there.

Initially, Mugeez was called Gorgormi when he started singing in Samini’s camp before branding himself as Mugeez when he and Paedae became pair, R2Bees but now he is part of my clan called the Nkurasesem Clan which will SOON be heard of and that simply means he really admires my style besides whiles I was participating on Mentor, he was home watching me sing."

When asked if Paedae, the half of the duo is aware of Mugeez affiliation with his Clan, he motioned that we verify that from him in person, "I can speak for him, but just as a lot of people would want to be like Kojo Antwi, DL among others, it’s clear that Mugeez wants to be like me also though he is not the only person and I am happy to know that people really admire what I do."

A year and months down the lane after Okuraseni’s declaration that his Nkurasesem Clan will SOON be heard of; the doubt of the existence of his clan is high as nothing has been heard or said about the clan although there were speculations that Mugeez intended going solo. But SOON

Contacting the Nkurasesem Clan leader, Okuraseni Samuel about the existence of the clan; he said, “Nkurasesem Clan exists and in due time, its members will be unveiled.”

As to whether Mugeez is indeed and still a member of the Clan, he repeatedly noted , “the clan is there, and soon, I will bring out the list of artistes part of it.”
