Ghanaian musician Sefa has urged Ghanaians not to jump to conclusions based on surface-level observations about celebrities.
In an interview with Accra FM on October 24, 2024, Sefa disclosed that while her exit from D-Black's record label might invite criticism, she emphasised that such judgments are often based on incomplete information.
“I am prepared for comments, but also, I just want everybody to know that you shouldn't always judge a book by its cover. You shouldn't see what's on social media and think that that is what is happening because you don't know if it's been years that it has been happening that you don't know about.
“So, it has to be something that you just listen to from your heart's space, not from your mind space or some trendy space, you have to sit down and actually think about it,” she said.
She also disclosed that although she has left the record label, she will continue to receive earnings from her previous songs.
Sefa also clarified that the car she received when she joined the label is still in her possession because she paid for it, dispelling any notions that it was a gift.
“It's still with me because I paid for it,” she stated.
