Dromankese (B/A), Oct. 23, GNA - Madam Grace Obeng-Donkor, Nkoranza North District Chief Executive, has urged the youth in the area to exercise tolerance during the electioneering campaign. She said this at a durbar of chiefs and people of Dromankese to climax their Munufie Yam festival. She said Ghana had gained international recognition for its participatory democracy and "we should maintain such enviable record by comporting ourselves well before, during and after the December poll." Mad Obeng-Donkor advised the youth of the various political parties not to allow themselves to be used to engage in violent acts by politicians.
She commended the people for their "do it your self spirit" and said the government appreciated the efforts of communities that initiated their development programmes.
Major Derek Oduro (RTD), MP for Nkoranza North, called on the youth to actively participate in communal labour to develop the area. He pledged to provide the community with 400 bags of cement in support of on-going projects and appealed to the people to reciprocate government initiated programmes in the area by voting massively for the NPP. Nana Oduro Poku III, the chief, urged the youth to render selfless services towards development programmes.
