A former member of 2014 VGMA Group of the year D2 has expressed his excitement in doing a solo project.

Duke of D2, who is currently based in the US, says he had a great time working with his former group member, Genesis.

Duke goes on further to say that doing things by himself has given him the freedom to express himself much more musically.

“I’ve always wanted to try new things but being a group restricted me a lot since whatever we put out there must meet the satisfaction of both parties,” The "Too Sweet" singer said.

“Since I came to the USA, I’ve been able to record about 40 songs which consist of every genre of music you can think of, and I’m super excited about it.

He went on to clear the air that he and his partner have not parted ways as many Ghanaians are speculating.

“it is a temporary halt we mutually agreed on, hopefully, sooner than later we will bounce back with a banger for the fans but for now I'll urge them to patronize anything we both bring across. it’s still D2 u know, he said.
