John Dumelo who seems to have his acting career on hold for politics has been spotted campaigning at the grassroot level for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
A recent picture that has emerged shows the actor – equipped with a book that captures the achievements of President John Mahama and the NDC – trying to convince a couple of local women to give JM a second term in office.
According to ghanacelebrities.com, the actor may have realised the movie industry is dead and ‘has jumped into the corrupt pool of politics, where money can easily be made and it seems he will soon be swimming in cash.’
Dumelo is now the director for a youth empowerment group formed by the NDC is currently embarking on a peace tour around the country.
Yet the actor maintains he is in this for the good of the country and not the political benefits of affiliating with the ruling party.
