Rapper EL has explained why he released a spanking video for a song titled Agbadza without any prior notice or pre-release hype.
According to the tall BBnZ Live artiste, the video was a surprise gift to his fan base and music fans in general for the Christmas and New Year festive season.
The new video, produced by Kuvi and directed by Justin Campos of Gorilla Films, South Africa, was released on Sunday, December 28, 2014 for the single off his sophomore album titled, ELOM.
The original song is yet to be officially released after the video.
Fans and entertainment pundits who saw the new video are commending his style of fusing local Agbadza rhythms with hip hop.
“Well, we just wanted it to be a surprise to the fans. It is a combination of Agbadza rhythm and hip hop.
“As an artiste you have to look into the future and try to explore something different. Doing hip hop in Africa, we thought it wise to fuse in the Agbadza to create something different. This is to show people to think out of the box,” EL told NEWSONE.
