In a celebration of music, culture, and new beginnings, EMY Africa had the distinct honour of hosting the iconic American singer-songwriter and producer, Stevie Wonder, at the home of their board chairman, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong.

The intimate gathering was held to celebrate Stevie Wonder’s birthday and his recent grant of Ghanaian citizenship.

The celebration was marked by heartfelt speeches, intimate conversations, and musical performances from Michelle McKinney Hammond, Becca and Stevie Wonder.

The event highlighted EMY Africa's dedication to celebrating excellence and nurturing connections within both the African and global communities.

Kojo Soboh, CEO and founder of EMY Africa, in his speech, spotlighted the importance of celebrating African success stories and connecting with people in the diaspora as well as how all fits in the EMY Africa tagline of Inspiring Greatness. Stevie Wonder also added that he was home now and that it was time to build the nation and the world.

The celebration brought together a notable array of guests. Among the distinguished attendees were EMY Africa board members, Dr. Ellen Hagan, Michelle McKinney Hammond, Joel Nettey, Nanahemaa Adjoa Awindor, and Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, as well as Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, Becca and her husband Dr. Tobi Sanni Daniels, Akosua Busia,Osei Kwame Despite, Rocky Dawuni, Sammy Osei Kuffour, Kofi and Esi Gbedema, among others.
