RedRed, a joint musical project between one-half of controversial FOKN Bois, M3nsa and Budapest’s seasoned DJ/ music producer and instrumentalist Elo, has released Ghana’s first African Electronic Dance song titled Ghetto.
The song, prepared in Budapest, is RedRed's latest single featuring top Ghanaian rap artiste Sarkodie. Ghetto is a production masterclass woven with introspective lyrics fusing dance music influences from Europe and Africa.
Ghetto was released Thursday, April 2, 2015 concurrently with its sensational and vibrant dance-themed video shot in Accra by Bubi Cooke of Infoboxdaily. The video has one of the best shots and direction complemented by a perfect storyline depicting a natural ghetto scene.
The cast and crew for the video comprised of over 50 people including cameos by some of Ghana's talented artistes like Wanlov the Kubolor, Pappy Kojo among others. It took two days to shoot the video.
Elo, the Hungarian half of RedRed, has worked with FOKN Bois in 2012 on ‘Dunaquest In Budapest’ with which they toured both Europe and Ghana. He is also known for his works with Irie Maffia and Sena.
In an interview with Ismail Akwei, Elo expressed his love for Ghana and Ghanaian music. He said he has been to Ghana four times since 2008 and already has some of his family in the country.
M3nsa, the Ghanaian half of RedRed, assured Ghanaians to expect crazier music from the intercontinetal musical duo.
RedRed expressed appreciation to all those who supported them in Accra including the director of the video, Bubi Cooke, Mutombo Da Poet, Mosquito, Sarkodie and his team, Wanlov da Kubolor, Joey B, Pappy Kojo and all the dancers in the video.
