Highlife musician Bisa Kdei has expressed his aspiration to reach the standards set by legendary musician Ebo Taylor.
In an interview with Amansan Krakye, Bisa Kdei spoke about the inspiration he draws from Ebo Taylor’s enduring career.
He said he admires Ebo Taylor’s ability to tour the world and release timeless music, viewing it as a benchmark for his own future.
“Seeing Ebo Taylor performing globally at over 80 years old is truly inspiring. When I witness such achievements, I feel motivated and driven,” Bisa Kdei said.
He continued, “That’s the goal I’m striving for in the future, and it’s the standard I’ve set for myself. Highlife is a unique genre, and it’s impossible to go wrong with it.”
Bisa Kdei also expressed confidence in the longevity of his music, stating,
“For the next 20 years, people will continue to enjoy my songs like ‘Mansa’ and ‘Brother Brother’ because they are timeless.”
He also emphasised the importance of following in the footsteps of legends to preserve the essence of Highlife music.
