As the controversy surrounding Efia Odo and the restaurant continues, entertainment pundit Vida Adutwumwaa has joined the conversation.
According to her, Efia Odo’s brand is not one that should be associated with food or can easily be categorised under such.
She said the owner of the restaurant made a wrong business move to make the Ghanaian socialite the promoter of his business.
In a video circulating online, Vida Adutwumwaa emphasised that Efia Odo is being followed on social media not because she promotes a restaurant, emphasising that the owner made a wrong business choice.
"The owner of Rich Condos made a very wrong business decision. Efia Odo’s brand is not the type you can associate with food. She has a large number of followers, but have you asked yourself if they follow her because of food? They follow her for a reason, and I don’t think five percent of her followers will be because of food. There’s something called brand association, which is the mental connection concerning a brand. why make her the promoter of your restaurant?” she said.
Vida Adutwumwaa further explained that there are certain criteria businessmen must look out for when searching for a brand promoter.
She mentioned that Efia Odo’s brand aligns with sensuality, not food.
“If it was about swimsuits and lingerie, and you used her to promote your brand, it makes sense. So, you made the wrong decision associating her with an entire brand,” she added.
Background
During a live interaction on UTV’s United Showbiz, Efia Odo stated that she solely owned the restaurant she was managing.
Her comments followed her purported dismissal from the restaurant by the real owner.
Amid the reports, she claimed that she owned about 40% of Eats Avenue.
To substantiate her claim, she shared documents online to prove her stake in the business.
