Efya angry with Sarkodie for betrayal

Ghana’s finest rapper has revealed that songstress and powerful female vocalist, Efya, is angered by his decision to feature Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage on his 'No Ordinary Love' song instead of her.

The song, which is for Sarkodie’s up and coming album, was initially to feature Efya which reports say she has been made aware and earnestly preparing to kill it with her powerful vocals, but that was not to happen.

The songstress is reported to have been surprised when she realized that the Rapperholic man had featured the Nigerian singer and even gone ahead to shoot the video a few days ago.

However, Sarkodie says: “I had this song, and the hook was ready waiting for Efya. I know Efya is going to kill me for this one because she was actually pissed off”.

According to reports, the rapper said he needed a change considering the fact that he has had hit songs with Efya severally: “You know we’ve had lots of collaboration back-to-back and I wanted someone different. I’m on Tiwa’s album, so it was just right for us to do another song on my album. Tiwa was there, I sent her the song, and she laid good vocals on it which was also perfect”.

He has described the move as a strategic one aimed at getting into the Nigerian markets and also returning good gesture saying: “Tiwa has a large following in Nigeria, Ghana and everywhere and I think it is right to do a song with her.”

Sarkodie and Efya have a long history of making hits together and have attracted one rumour or the other whether they were seeing each other. The two have individually distinguished themselves in the music industry with multiple awards to their credits.

But whether this is going to affect the friendship between the two, we live to see.
