Eighteen-year-old boy breaks into his uncle's tomb

Diabaa (B/A), Jan 12, GNA - An 18-year-old boy was on Thursday given a severe thrashing by his elder siblings and other relatives at Diabaa, near Dormaa Ahenkro, for breaking into his deceased uncle's tomb and removing a ring from the corpse's finger. A family source told newsmen that a woman saw the teenager digging the tomb of Kwaku Yeboah, his uncle, and raised an alarm. Before she and some other people rushed to the scene, the boy had already broken into the coffin and removed the ring that he was later seen in town wearing.

The source said the family questioned him and he admitted committing the offence.
