Speaking at the ceremony, the Birim Central Municipal Director of the National Youth Authority, Mr Kwabena Archer stressed that the Miss Kotoku event was a platform to identify and support young girls who were talented, eloquent and bold and ready to hold the mantle for themselves as well as Akyem Kotoku.
He said “People who have the ‘I can’t do it attitude’ in them should see the contestants as role models and do what they can to contribute to nation building than making no attempt at all”.
Mr Archer, therefore, made a passionate appeal to reputable organizations to offer financial support to the Miss Kotoku event because it served as a platform for the youth to exhibit their talents.
The event was supported by Quality Mineral Water, Rabbson Hotel, X’tra Touch Beauty Palace, Reipmedia Empire, Punch Studio and Uniworld Skills College.
