Ghanaian filmmaker and radio host, Sammy Rasta, praised specific celebrities for their outstanding appearances at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) 2024 red carpet event.

Sammy highlighted musician Kwabena Kwabena's attire and fashion sense as impressive and worth emulating by other celebrities.

He also commended gospel artist Empress Gifty for her outfit choice for the red carpet, noting that it met his expectations and represented the event well.

"I believe artistes like Kwabena Kwabena represented well, as he did last year. Also, Empress Gifty really stood out and nailed it," he told Abrantepa on the E-Forum show aired on GhanaWeb TV.

However, Rasta criticized some celebrity outfits that, in his view, did not meet the red carpet's standards, thereby diminishing the event's prestige.

He suggested that for an improved red carpet experience, TGMA should collaborate with fashion experts to bring vibrancy and allure to the segment.

The TGMA ceremony, held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on June 1, 2024, celebrated the achievements of Ghanaian musicians over the past year. With categories ranging from Record of the Year to Best New Artiste, the awards recognized excellence across various genres and aspects of the music industry.

The nominees were selected by the Ghana Music Award Academy Board, comprising professionals representing diverse sectors of the music industry, ensuring a fair and comprehensive judging process.
