Ghanaian Choral vocalist based in the United Kingdom, Ernest O. Kyerematen has won two awards at the 2019 Ghana Youth Choir Choral Festival and Awards.
Held at the Christ the King Parish Hall on November 2, Kyerematen received Album of the year with his 'Onyame Aye Bi' album and his 'Eye Adom Nkoara' single was adjudged Song of the year.
His ten-track album, a great masterpiece was promoted in Ghana by OpareDawuro Media.
Ernest dedicated the two awards to the OpareDawuro Media and his family. He thanked his fans especially the Adventist Church in the United Kingdom and Ghana for their support and votes
The Ghana Youth Choir Choral Festival and Awards, a scheme that celebrates choral music players in Ghana and started four years ago.
The GH Youth Choir Choral Festival and Awards ceremony had 50 percent public voting and the other 50 percent voting by the awards board in consultation with the choral music professionals.
In all, there were 16 categories that were opened for public voting and three honourary awards.
New categories introduced in this year's scheme were Lifetime Achievement Award, Award for Choral Music Promotion and Instrumentalist of the Year.
