‘Face of Hope’ beauty pageant to be launched soon

“FACE OF HOPE”, a new beauty reality show is set to hit the screens soon.

The project, a brainchild of Africana Consult, a charity foundation aims to inculcate in the younger generation, the act of being the mouthpiece and ambassadors for the less privileged and orphans in Ghana.

This vision of ‘Face of Hope’ is for those who want to help most orphans in Ghana but don’t know how to get through to them.

“FACE OF HOPE” which will be running on the national television for 12 weeks seeks to crown a face and a personality who becomes the mouthpiece of these orphans as well as make it more easier for the general public to reach these less privileged kids in Ghana.

Auditions would start soon for young ladies between the ages 18 and 25, beautiful, intelligent, smart and have a soft spot for orphans. An orphan can also participate.

Creative Director and CEO of Africana Consult, Miss Patricia Akyereh Blankson, said the pageant was needful to impact and influence society to give to the needy.

“Face of Hope is primarily an advocacy program. The winner who will be crowned the “Face of Hope” will engage corporate Ghana, student groups and the general public focusing on encouraging others to take more interest in helping the less privilege, as well as encourage their colleagues to do same” she explained.

According to Blankson, the idea behind the pageant is just to give back to society as they have been into charity for some years now.

“Our major aim is to give back to the society and to inculcate in our youth, the spirit and nature of giving as God’s love is spread through showing love to the less privileged” she said.

This maiden edition will include only four regions, Greater Accra region, Central region, Western region, Ashanti region and Northern region.
