Kids everywhere enjoy dressing up! Beaming faces of children in playful or festive clothes, wearing garlands or masks, or taking part in team sports inspire young readers to explore how their clothing makes them feel and how it tells the world who they are.
27 Beauty Queens across the various Tertiary institutions will participate in this year’s 3rd edition of face of tertiary. The number will be narrowed to 15 for the grand finals which will be held at the Conference Centre, through eviction reality show on TV3 from 17 March 2012 every Saturday at 2:30pm and will be repeated on Fridays at 5:00pm for thirteen weeks packed with great episodes.
Face of Tertiary is not only about beauty but beauty with a sense of humor and integrity. An ideal woman, who will represent Tertiary Institutions in Ghana at the World Miss University Pageant in Korea and also engage the larger corporate and social community on the above issues, is the primary objective of this event.
The vision of the event is to select one of the Queens from the Nation’s Tertiary Institutions as an Ambassador of Anti Child Labour to combat and intensify the campaign against Child Labour in Ghana through the implementation of Child Labour Project Work written by the University of Education Winneba dubbed ‘’SAVE A CHILD’’.
As part of this year’s package, Child labour workshop will be organized for the Queens to enlighten them on the various aspects of the issue in the country. Resource persons will be invited to throw more light on the above issue and there will be questions and suggestions from the Queens, after which 15 will be selected for the final and camped (housed) for 14 days, where they would be given the final training and preparations for the grand finale.
A massive beach party will be organized at the Beach for the Queens to socialize with their fans, sponsors, media and the general public. The Queens will entertain the audience will splendid Performance. A Dinner Dance will be organized for our cherished sponsors and the Queens Family. The occasion will serve as a platform to promote interpersonal relations between our sponsors, the Queens and their Families.
The 15 finalist will be given the opportunity to compete for the Face of Tertiary Crown at the grand final at the International Conference Centre, after which the winner, the Ambassador of Anti-Child Labour will continue the implementation of the child trafficking project work, with the support of the Event Management, TV3 and Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs and Employment and social welfare.
