Fame without money is senseless – C-Zar

C-Zar C-Zar

Ghanaian hiplife artiste, C-Zar, has stated that the end result of fame should be money.

The ‘Odo Tantan’ composer stressed that being famous without money does not make any sense.

“Fame without money is senseless,” he told Melvina Frimpong Manso on Suncity Radio’s Showbiz 971 in Sunyani.

C-Zar lamented that the Ghanaian music industry does not pay much so he won’t waste his time in such an industry.

“In this world, everybody has a passion for something. I still have the passion for music, but it is time to let it go. Music is time-consuming. Many Producers do expect to recoup their invested money before they will give you something.

“Now that I am in this business, I want to concentrate on it and take it to the extra mile. It will be difficult to point out ten (10) people who are rich in the music industry,” he enunciated.

He added: “You can see that Wizkid, Davido and others are rich, but in our industry, you have to have a tip skin in other to earn and I won’t waste my time like that.”

C-Zar advised established musicians in the country to invest some of they are earnings because they won’t reign forever.

He further counselled Ghanaian producers to learn how Nigerians do promotions and marketing.

C-Zar, however, admitted that we do not have a big market space in Ghana, but it should not stop us from exploring.

Throwing a light on his new found business, C-Zar revealed, “I am a complete electrical dealer. I do not deal in normal electrical stuff. I am also an electrical consultant.

I established myself in this way back 1997. I did business alongside the music. We are trying to establish branches in Kumasi, Sunyani, Tamale and other places. I have about 50 workers.”
