Former Radio Gold and long time Peace FM ‘Ekwanso Brebre’ Radio show Host who moved to Kasapa FM in April 2015, under the EIB Network, Fiifi Banson, has left his position at Kasapa FM, MyNewsGh.com can confirm.
The media personality, otherwise known as “The Dynamite” was also host of Football Legend show on GhOne TV also under the EIB brand.
We can confirm that Fiifi is no more a member of Kasapa FM staff or by extension the EIB and is currently on leave, never to return.
The reason, we are told by deep-throated sources, is that the EIB Network was unable to renew his contract which expired this year, and he is not expected to make a return when his leave days end.
He was host of the hot morning show “Anopa Kasapa” on Kasapa FM which had always been on MyNewsGH.com’s monitoring radar.
Pato takes over
The Ring Road Central-based radio station, we learnt, has promoted Nana Kwaku Owusu Adjei, known in media circles as PATO from Agoo TV to take over and steer the morning show Anopa Kasapa which starts at 5:45am and ends at 10am each weekday.
EIB Network has been hit by series of ‘transfers’ of its staff moving out to other media houses mostly for undisclosed reasons.
While we are told Fiifi Banson’s is a nonrenewal of contract, we will be following the issue closely.
Mr Banson had worked for Peace FM for 15 years before joining Kasapa FM for 3 years.
I didn’t join EIB because of cash
The renown Ghanaian broadcaster Fiifi Banson only last month said he stopped working with Peace FM not because of poor salary but because he wanted to explore other parts of the journalism world. The then host of Kasapa Fm’s morning show Fiifi Banson explained that his desire to have a change in his journalism field motivated his move to Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) Network.
Fiifi Banson added that he would have chosen Peace FM over EIBNETWORK in terms of good salary.
