First eviction for Miss Malaika TV series this Sunday

The first eviction for the Miss Malaika television series currently showing on TV3 will be held this Sunday when two of the 20 delegates would see their bid to annex the Miss Malaika Ghana 2006 crown come to an end.

The 20 finalists who are currently being housed in the Malaika mansion Yahanprah, Golda Afidegnon, Abigail Obubah, Majah-Fatimah Seidu, Abigail Adenu, Christina Mensah, Dela Anku and Miskelly Brock.

The rest are: Estella Cudjoe, Benedicta Ashiagbor, Golda V -Orgle, Myma Mantey, Hamamat Montia, Emelda Owusu, Lady Diana, Henrietta Takyi, Natascha Mieke, Salimi Akil, Alisa A Yippei and Roma Asumadu.

For the next five weeks, they will undergo rigorous grooming and training to transform them during which time two delegates out of the 20 finalists will be evicted each week making way for the 10 delegates who will take part in the final event slated for the Accra International Conference Centre on November 4.

Interestingly, the organisers of the event, Charterhouse, have added a new dimension to the event.

For the first time in the history of pageants in this country, all the 10 finalists will be taken on a fun-trip outside the country before the final event.

The year's eventual winner of the crown will have lots of goodies going her way.

This will include a brand new Kia Rio from Rana Motors, ¢20m cash, a set of living room furniture, fully loaded personal computer, Miss Malaika gold signet jewellery, return ticket to London, beauty treatment, among other prizes.

She will also be working as the ambassador with the National Malaria Control Board.
