Five Students of GSTS Grabbed For Alleged Gang Rape

Five Students of Ghana Secondary Technical School in Takoradi have been arrested for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl. The five students are said to have taken turns in having sexual intercourse with the girl, who is a student of the Archbishop Porter Girls’ Secondary School in Sekondi. Teachers in both schools and police are surprised by the way and manner the five young men managed to get out of their school and traveled about three miles to the all-girls’ school.

After allegedly defiling the girl, the GSTS students quickly ran back to their school. The girl later filed a report which led to their arrest. A police source contacted in Takoradi confirmed the story, but refused to give further details, saying investigations were still going on. When the headmaster of the GSTS T.K Mensah was contacted he also confirmed the story but said that technically the five students are no more his students because they have finished writing their final examinations papers and are now with their parents.

Another police source who spoke to on condition of anonymity, however, disputed this claim by the headmaster, saying that though some of the students finished writing their final examination papers, others are still with the school.
