Award-winning Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has threatened to organise a demonstration against the Akufo-Addo government if the current power supply challenges are not fixed.
Ms Nelson issued the notice in a tweet.
#DUMSORMUSTSTOP !!!! We are gonna hit the streets soon if it doesnt stop! @NAkufoAddo
— Yvonne Nelson (@yvonnenelsongh) April 2, 2019
The tweet follows the recent intermittent power cuts being experienced across the country.
In May 2015 during the John Mahama-led administration, Ms Nelson organised a demonstration dubbed ‘Dumsor must stop’ to pile pressure on the then-government to solve the energy crisis which had plagued the nation for years.
Several celebrities including actors and actresses joined the demonstration to call for an end to the problem.
