Ghanaian musician and social commentator Kwame A Plus has urged future administrations, whether from the NPP or NDC, to continue and improve major projects initiated by the current government.
In an interview with UTV on August 1, 2024, A Plus called for successful initiatives like 'December in Ghana' and the Free SHS programs to be maintained by whoever succeeds the current administration due to their positive impact on the country.
“I believe that whoever takes power, whether NPP or NDC, should assess what’s working and continue some of the significant projects started by this administration.
“Projects such as 'December in Ghana' and the Free SHS programs are substantial,” he said.
Kwame A Plus, however, criticized the NPP for prioritizing what he considers unnecessary matters, urging them to focus on impactful projects instead.
He emphasized his non-partisan stance, stating, "I am not concerned with party affiliations, but rather with recognizing and acknowledging good work."
A-Plus expressed his hope that future governments will not only sustain the Free SHS program but also expand it to provide free education at almost all levels.
“I hope that whoever comes next can carry this forward, it should not be halted. I hope they can enhance it to offer free education at nearly all levels, including art schools and vocational schools.
“In this way, perhaps in the next 10 years, no one will have an excuse for not pursuing an education,” he said.
