Fuse ODG, others nominated for UK - MOBO Awards 2014

The 2014 Mobo Awards is due and among the nominees is Ghanaian-born-UK-based artiste Fuse ODG has been announced as one of the nominees.

Nigeria’s Wizki, Davido and Mista Silva are also among the nominees for the 2014 edition of the awards which returns to London after five years.

Also on the list is soul singer Sam Smith and hip hop duo Krept and Konan taking the lead with nominations in four categories each.

Fuse ODG, Ghetts, Meridian Dan and Tinie Tempah are all up for three awards, while FKA Twigs is flying the flag for female artists with three nominations.

Katy B and Marsha Ambrosius are both nominated for two awards.

Speaking to independent.co.uk, Kany King, founder of the Mobos said he found it exciting to see music revolutionised and more impactful.

"I find it particularly exciting to see so many underground artists featured, who've reached new heights over the last year and broken into the wider consciousness. It's testament to their talent and their determination to succeed and we are very proud to witness their successes to date.

This year's show at Wembley is set to be nothing short of spectacular."
