Future of Ghana music industry bright – Blay

Acting Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has expressed optimism that Ghana’s music industry will be buoyant in the near-future.

Speaking in an interview with Accra 100.5FM’s Nana Baffour, on the sidelines of a press soiree organised by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) on Friday, 12 January 2018, Mr Blay said: "Ghana's music has a great future, all we have to do is to work together and get people interested, get Ghanaians excited about it."

Present at the event was MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour) who announced a list of 20 most air-played songs in the year 2017.

The list he mentioned included:
