Earlier in May 2024, Ace-Liam Ankrah, a Ghanaian toddler, set the record as the world's youngest male artist.
Two months on, his mother, Chantelle Kukua Eghan, has shared insights into how she is nurturing his talent and supporting his artistic journey.
Speaking in an interview with TV3 on 17 July 2024, Chantelle revealed that international galleries have shown interest in collaborating with the young artist.
"International galleries are also reaching out to want to work with him as well. So I'm doing my best to push him in that line," Chantelle said.
She also stated that a dedicated website has been created for Ace-Liam where his paintings are posted for public engagement and purchase.
"Because he has broken the record as an artist, I'm doing my best to shape that aspect for him. So he has a website. Anytime he creates a painting, we post it online for people to engage. People are also buying his works through his website," she said.
Despite her efforts to promote his art, Chantelle emphasised that she will support Ace-Liam in any future career path he chooses.
"However, if he grows up and he wants to choose a different path, he has my support. But he always knows that he has something that's a big one," she added.
Ace-Liam Ankrah set the record as the world's youngest male artiste at the age of 1 year and 152 days.
Encouraged by his mother, Ace-Liam continued painting, leading to his first exhibition at the Museum of Science and Technology in Accra, where nine out of ten pieces were sold.
In May 2024, Guinness World Records confirmed the record in a statement and last week declared that "at the age of 1 year 152 days, little Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah from Ghana is the world's youngest male artist."
