Known as the king of Hausa Music and Hip hop in Ghana, Gariba Yaronzamani on his birthday released the official video for his street anthem ‘Barihadawa’.
Gariba who is signed to Timeless Records explained the delay for the video for the song as;
‘I had to take my time to tell the zongo story well in the video hence when fans watch the video they will see that it reflects the true identity of our communities’.
He added by saying that the video explains the song better and the team decided to do it that way so that those who do not understand the Hausa language can relate to it.
‘Barihadawa’ was my first single for the year, later I released ‘Muntashi’ F/ dancehall artist Episode, then I dropped Bigger than the sea and ‘Kwama Chala’, He spoke about his songs out so far.
For Gariba music has no language barrier and he knows that his good melodies and rhythm will get attention of all music lovers.
Gariba’s ending words to his fans was heart touching: ‘Be part of the movement, music in Ghana has always been around one particular language but I urge all good music lovers to open up their scope and also welcome music in other languages
