Public Relations Officer for Charterhouse Ghana, George Quaye, has revealed why he left gold dealership firm Menzgold.

George Quaye has finally made comments concerning reasons leading his quitting as PRO of Menzgold.

According to the ace public relations expert, his family was threatened on several occasions amid the Menzgold crisis.

In an interview with Accra based radio station Joy FM, George Quaye revealed circumstances that triggered his exit from Menzgold.

"The several threats coming from customers to me and my family made me pull out of Menzgold," he revealed.

George Quaye explained he would not have been bothered if he was the only one receiving the threats from the customers.

"I could not afford to put my family through such threats and not have the assurance they would be safe," he added.

He admitted that the crisis season was the time Menzgold needed him most but he could not have stayed due to the threats.

"It is a stretch when what you want to do is beginning to affect the lives of people that are dear to you,” he stressed.

George Quaye's comment followed his resignation from Menzgold when they were ordered to shut down. One month after George Quaye resigned from Charterhouse to handle public relations at Menzgold, he resigned.

His resignation came as a surprise to many as some Ghanaians claimed that he left because of the brouhaha.

Meanwhile, after resigning from Menzgold, George Quaye got back to working with his former employers Charterhouse.

When asked how come Charterhouse accepted him back after resigning from there to take the Menzgold job, he replied that he was relevant to the event firm.

"If I were that replaceable, it would have meant that my years at Charterhouse are for nothing," he retorted
