Ghana Short-Changed

GHANA AIRWAYS SOLD FOR A PITTANCE
KUFUOR FRIENDS AND RELATIONS EATING NYAFO NYAFO
MINISTER GLORIA AKUFO IS POWERLESS

Reliable information reaching this paper has it that three DC-10 aircrafts belonging to Ghana Airways have been disposed off for a pittance (small change) by the NPP government causing a huge financial loss to the airline and the state.

We are told that when the NPP assumed the reigns of government two DC-10 aircrafts which had been sent to Italy for checks and were ready to come into service were left to rot in Italy for reasons best known to JAK and the NPP money hunters. Friends and relatives were allowed to sell off the engines and other useful parts in bits and pieces at grave cost to the state.

A 3rd DC10 was abandoned on the tarmac at K.I.A and also left to rot, with vultures making the cockpit their homes.

The rotten aircrafts have been offered at give away prices to scrapping companies. For example one DC-10 costing about $10m has been disposed of @ $700,000. Aviation and Assets Disposal Experts have confirmed that even the official Liquidator of Ghana Airways as well as the Aviation Minister were knocked out of the way and were powerless in these fraudulent manoeuvres, apparently engineered by Price Waterhouse where Chief Kufuor of Hotel Waa Waa fame may still be the 41year-old accountant son of our dear President.

Will Ghana’s parliament rise up to their responsibilities and challenge the fraudulent disposal of these national assets or will they succumb to the usual three-line whipping?
