Organizers of Ghana USA Peace Concert have described earlier reports that the concert flopped as false.

Asembi.com reported that the much-publicised event recorded less than 50 people in attendance but the president of Mawus Entertainment LLC, the orgainzers of the concert, has ‘debunked’ the reports.

According to the president, Yaw Aboagye-Marfo, the concert which had Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Patapaa, Highlife veteran K.K. Fosu, Dadzie Opanka, USA based Willy Deep, Maccasio, Attacker, Double T and a few others on the bill couldn’t hold due to a heavy down pour on the night.

“Despite all the arrangements made to make this show a success, nature calls are inevitable thus little or nothing can be done neither to control nor stop them from happening. Just on the edge of start to the great show, the weather became unfriendly with signs of rain which overwhelmed the powers of the organizers of the GHANA USA PEACE CONCERT which eventually led to a downpour which lasted over an hour forcing proceedings to be rescheduled to the next day.” Yaw Aboagye-Marfo told Asembi.com.

The organizers added that, the concert was rescheduled for Sunday but “just when preparations were set and tickets were being rushed for the most anticipated show, the rains came again”.

Mawus Entertainment LLC apologized to all those who bought tickets to the show and couldn’t have a taste of it and express their gratitude to those who supported them in every manner and told Asembi.com that they “have been drawn back to their planning room hoping to come back with a better luck to making their peace concert a success.”

The regional capital of the Northern region, Tamale was set to have an experience of a lifetime with a peace concert to harness the harmony among the inhabitants of the capital and its environs. The show aimed at binding the youth of the North into one accord.

After long months of preparations, arrangements and buildups, last Saturday was the night for the first ever GHANA USA PEACE CONCERT at the Aliu Mahama sports stadium was prepared to host about 20,000 people to come into one bond for the benefit of the event.

The show was expected to thrill its fans with performances from the legend K K Fosu, Dadie Opanka, Kwame Eugene, kidi, Patapaa with the blend of some artistes from the North as well including Maccasio, one of the most loved artistes in the North.

All necessary arrangements were made from the high enthusiastic team of organizers for the show with massive support from sponsors and the police officers assigned to take guard on the night but as nature has always being powerful over proceedings, the show couldn’t come out despite all measures by organizers to make it a successful one
