The recent successes by African artistes worldwide highlights that more unique talent from the continent is required to satisfy the insatiable appetite of music lovers and Osaa is set to do just that.
Born Mary Duah, Osaa is a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Her music is largely influenced by her job as a communication designer and she’s set to release her debut single ‘Oh Baby’ featuring Sarkodie.
Osaa is predominantly into Afro-Pop, Soul, Hi Life and RnB and she believes that music should heal the heart, soothe the soul and excite the body. She therefore goes the next mile to ensure her music is relevant to the listener.
Osaa’s music is inspired by everyday life. Kojo Antwi, Amakye Dede, Angelique Kidjo, Akua Agyapomaa, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, 2 Face Idibia, Mary. J. Blige, Colbie Caillat and Jill Scott are some of her musical influences.
In the coming days, Osaa’s debut single ‘Oh Baby’ featuring Sarkodie will be officially released on radio and online.
