Ghanaian Actress Chooses Kofi Otchere Darko

It is said that many are called but few are chosen and beautiful actress Khareema Aguira has chosen celebrated radio icon KOD, born Kofi Okyere Darko, as her manager.

She has made the move at a time when the movie industry is getting all the shine and media spotlight in the entertainment industry.

This is the first time reports of her manager have hit the public domain after her stint with the movie industry some years back. It is however not clear if KOD is the first artiste manager she is working with. News-One sources alleged, “Khareema is currently enjoying a good working relationship with KOD.

And her reason for choosing KOD is purely business as she was impressed by his trade mark in artistes’ management over the years. She hopes that working with him will yield the needed results she wanted in the movie industry especially because he is also connected and understands show business. ”

KOD confirmed the deal with the actress on Sunday evening saying, “Yes I am managing Khareema now.” This is the first time KOD is managing an actress as he is only noted for working with musicians. The unexpected switch is allegedly necessitated by the gradual growth of the movie industry. He manages artistes like Wutah, Kwabena Kwabena, Nana Boroo and others.

His first job with Khareema is being described as a ‘litmus test’ for him in the movie industry.

However, the two appear to be keeping the terms and agreement of the job under the wraps. Khareema became very popular after her supporting role in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s ‘Checkmate’, alongside Nadia Buari, Ekow Blankson, Naa Ashorkor Mensah Doku and Senanu Gbedawo.

She surfaced on Ghana’s movie scene through the television series ‘All That Glitters’ on GTV in 2005. Since then, she has appeared in a number of movies including ‘Turn Me On’.
