Ghanaian-born Nigerian actor, Emmanuel France is dead

Veteran Nollywood actor Emmanuel France has reportedly passed away.

The news was confirmed by Nigerian filmmaker Olufemi Ogedengbe, who shared the tragic announcement on Instagram.

Ogedengbe, who referred to France as a legend and an uncle, reminisced about their collaboration in Tanzania in 2006, where they worked on three film projects together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director.

He expressed his condolences, stating, “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France. One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director. R.I.P.”

Ghanaian by birth, Emmanuel France, believed to be in his 80s, was celebrated for his roles in numerous Nollywood films.

The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and his passing has left fans and colleagues in shock and grief.

This sad news comes just days after the death of another Nollywood actor, Big Larry.

France's contributions to the film industry have left a lasting impact, and he will be remembered for his dedication and talent.
