South African recording artiste and record producer Cassper Nyovest born Refiloe Maele Phoolo popularly known as "Mr. Fill up" has debunked media reports which claims that he did not know the identity of self acclaimed Dancehall King in Ghana 'Shatta Wale'

In an interview with Nikki Samonas, the host of TV africa's morning show dubbed 'the breakfast live', he disclosed that he has come under fierce ' bashing' by a section of Ghanaians and most especially fans of Shatta Wale (SM fans).

According to the 'Baby Girl' hit maker, his remarks or comments were misconstrued by the media.

“I was asked a question on who my favorite dancehall artiste was and I said Stonebwoy. Stonebwoy because, I mean I have known him for years and I am also a big fan and then I say I don’t know Shatta Wale’s music, but it wasn’t an insult. Just like how South African music isn’t popular here and his music isn’t popular in South Africa so I don’t know his music, I can’t judge,” he said.

However, he expatiated further that he is aware of Shatta Wale and that he read about him saying something about Wizkid. He added that what he has to do now is to sit down and listen to his songs as he doesn't know any song of Shatta Wale.

“So yeah I know the controversy and how he speaks his mind but I have never heard the music. I think people just took it like I am throwing shades at him or comparing. I can’t because I know only one of them.”

The South African rapper added that he has noticed that some SM fans are losing their heads on social media bashing him for his comments and he is not perturbed because he is used to it.
