God dealt with me for boasting about casting out demons - Duncan-Williams

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams

The head pastor of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has shared his experiences of feeling pride after performing deliverance services.

He recalled that in the early days of his ministry, God graced him with the ability to exorcise demons during his ministrations.

He acknowledged that as a young man, he would take credit for his spiritual achievements, overlooking the divine influence at work.

Addressing his congregation, Duncan-Williams revealed that divine intervention led him to understand that it is essential to credit God for one's accomplishments in ministry.

“I remember when I began [ministry]. Most of the time, some of the bishops would tell you, there will be all kinds of manifestations in the church. Demons will be screaming and shouting. When I was a young preacher, I used to feel very good about that. I used to feel like ‘Charlie, I'm powerful. You see how the demons are reacting and they are crying.’

“I used to feel very powerful until the Lord dealt with me and I realized that the demons are not manifesting because I'm anointed. It's the name of Jesus. It has nothing to do with how anointed you are. And there are little things we take credit for and it's prideful, but we don't even know it. May God forgive us,” he said.
