Gospel artiste, Regina Osei has launched a scathing attack on gospel artistes and Christians stating that they have lost the key mandate of soul wining.
The musician who doubles as a preacher noted that doing Gospel music has become so lucrative that many have lost focus and are chasing money and material things instead of reaching out to lost souls.
Mrs. Regina Osei known for her hit single “Yesu do me” lamented how the flashy lifestyles of current gospel artistes are leading the masses astray.
She explained, that listening to gospel music, the word of God and true worship must be rooted in modest lifestyle and the Bible, but current breed of artistes are more concerned about the business aspect of the music opposed to the message of truth they must propagate.
She chastised self-styled gospel singers and preachers who are using their influence to exploit Christians.
“Because of economy hardship, singers will rather sing to please humans than honour God. Almost half of the gospel musicians in Ghana don’t even understand the Bible and yet carry huge titles within the Christian fraternity."
“They believe doing gospel music is the easiest way to make money from churches and believers,” Mrs. Osei remarked.
She observed that doing Gospel music is a calling and must be spirit-filled to transform lives and offer healing to Christian.
She maintained that her music has blessed many who call to testify about diverse miracles they receive through her music.
Mrs. Regina Osei has thus urged all Gospel musicians to be selective in their lyrics to ensure it’s grounded in the word of God to win souls.
