If information boiling on our front desk is anything to go by, then Shatta Wale’s dream, ambition and daring desire of becoming the first Ghanaian musician to win a Grammy award has been shattered.
This is because Beyoncé failed to submit “Already” song which has Shatta Wale’s signature and submits “Brown Skin Girl” song featuring Wizkid for the pending 2020 Grammy Awards nominations.
Shatta Wale in the wake of the release of Beyoncé’s “Lion King: The Gift” album had high hopes of winning a Grammy award looking at how the “Already” song went viral?which even got him featured on the official website of Grammy Awards.
But as we speak, Fans of Wizkid are all over Twitter jubilating over the alleged news with promises that they will make sure Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl” song featuring Wizkid win a Grammy award at all cost.
It’s worth knowing that audio of “Brown Skin Girl” song has clocked over 16 million views on YouTube in just 2 months whereas “Already” song is struggling to penetrate.
The “Brown Skin Girl” song is reportedly submitted by Beyoncé in the category “Best Pop duo/Group Performance”. So, if this report is anything to go by, then Wizkid is on his way to win a Grammy Award whereas Ghana’s very own Shatta Wale will hope for a better tomorrow!
