Renowned Hiplife artiste, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, widely recognized as Guru, is ramping up his efforts to secure the Student Representative Council (SRC) Presidency at the University of Ghana.
The artiste, who is also a fashion designer, is studying for a degree in Political Science and Information Technology and has recently announced his candidacy.
The '3nny3 Nwanwa' hitmaker's ambition to lead the SRC at UG stems from his desire to address the issues faced by his fellow students on campus.
His move comes in the wake of Samini, another celebrated Ghanaian artiste, who contested for and won the SRC Presidency at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
In a social media post meant to welcome the students back to campus, Guru disclosed his ambition to contest the position: "Maradona Yeboah Adjei (GURU NKZ) welcomes all students back to campus; Dear Legonites, it's great to see you back. Here's to starting the semester with a burst of positivity and excitement!
