Legendary hiplife star, Paa Dogo, has eulogized one of Ghana’s most respected beat maker, Hammer of Last Two for grooming him to become one of Ghana’s top musicians.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with DJ Slash, host of Away Bus on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said, the award-winning producer played a key role in shaping his career.
Paa Dogo, who has close to 800 songs to his credit, said he became a great musician because Hammer was very critical of him.
He recounted how he had to rewrite most of his songs because Hammer did not like the way he wrote them.
He said, ‘’ due to his criticism, I wrote a lot of songs. I really appreciate how he helped shape my career. He is a great personality I admire.’’
Paa Dogo disclosed he came into with Hammer during his [Hammer’s] secondary school days at PRESEC where he was a great athlete.
He further indicated that he met Hammer at the age of 13.
He said Hammer groomed him from the age of 13 years till he features him on KG and Prime Minister’s first song.
“I was close to Hammer. Our relationship was like a father and his son. He was inspirational and contributed immensely to my career.”
Paa Dogo said Hammer bought him his first mobile handset.
The musician said he is planning to work on 1,000 tracks before he takes a break from music.
