After Reggie Zippy’s series of online rants about being shut out from his children's lives, his ex-wife, Edith Ward, has finally shared her side of the story.

Since their divorce was announced in August 2023, Reggie has repeatedly lamented that he has been completely excluded from the children's lives, even claiming a judge ruled he could be arrested if he approached them.

However, in a recent interview with Caleb Nii Boye, his ex-wife Edith Ward refuted these claims.

When asked why she has allegedly refused Reggie access to the kids, she stated that he has not made any effort to reach out.

"The question is, what do you mean by giving him access to the kids? Has he behind the scenes called? sent a text or even an email? or made any efforts? He hasn't,” she stated.

Edith emphasised that, despite the challenges of raising the children alone, she would welcome support from their father.

"I've been many times accused of not letting him be in the children's lives, but as a father, I would want you to take them to football because I work full time. They go to three different schools now; I need to go pick them up. I need to take them to training at different places; I need to be there at their matches. On the financial side too, it's been a battle.”

Regarding the impact of the public fallout from their divorce, Edith expressed her frustrations about the loss of privacy.

"Myself and the children do not have privacy now because everywhere we walk, people know. I once took my son to a football match in London, and one of the parents walked to me and said she had seen stuff about my relationship. You can imagine how it felt,” she stated.

“Everywhere you go, someone is asking about it. It’s difficult for me as a parent,” she added.

Recently, Reggie lamented not having seen his kids for nearly two years. He admitted that he misses them every single day and described the experience as extremely challenging.

He also stated that despite the situation, he has remained committed to fulfilling his responsibilities by paying their monthly child maintenance allowances.

Reggie Zippy claims his ex-wife turned their eldest son against him

Reggie previously claimed that his ex-wife has turned their eldest son against him.

In one of his rants, he mentioned instances of disrespect from his son, attributing this behaviour to his mother’s influence.

Reasons for divorce

During their split, which was witnessed on social media, Edith Ward revealed that she filed for divorce due to issues such as infidelity, lies, alcohol abuse, and financial neglect.

She accused Reggie Zippy of being involved in an extramarital affair with a white woman for two to three years and stated that his failure to provide financially forced her to work tirelessly to support the family.

“I walked away and filed for divorce after you betrayed our marriage. Lies, deceit, constant cheating, and financial abuse made me work day and night to save my family. My love and patience weren’t enough, so I decided to save myself and my children,” parts of her Instagram post read in September 2023.

Reggie Zippy finally flaunts his new lover

After consistently keeping the face of his lover away from social media for a couple of months, Reggie Zippy finally unveiled her identity.

It would be recalled that less than a month after announcing his divorce online, Reggie flaunted his white British lover, the same woman he allegedly cheated with during his marriage.

In all the posts he shared about the new woman, he concealed her face and body parts that could make her recognisable.

In a recent post to eulogise his new lover on Valentine's Day in February 2024, the UK-based Ghanaian musician decided to showcase her to the world in all its entirety.

He shared pictures of his lovey-dovey moments with his ‘blondie,’ captured in smiles.
