If you’re an ice cream lover, you may have heard that there are different types of this delicious treat.
These variations arise from differences in production style, ingredients, and country of origin.
One popular type is gelato. But what exactly is gelato, and how does it differ from the regular ice cream we enjoy?
Marian Ampong, the CEO of Rafaeli’s Gelato, explained in a conversation with GhanaWeb TV’s Elsie Lamar.
“Gelato is a kind of ice cream that is richer and does not contain eggs, whereas regular ice cream does. Its origins are from Italy, which is why Raffaelli's has an Italian sound,” she said.
Mrs. Ampong also highlighted what makes her gelato a healthier alternative to conventional ice cream.
“Many of our ingredients are more natural than artificial. In other products, you might find artificial ingredients, but we strive to keep our gelato as close to natural as possible.”
You can find Rafaeli’s Gelato at Anaji Choice Mart in Sekondi-Takoradi and Spintex Baatsona Total in Accra.
