Ace highlife musician, Nana Quame, who has been off the Ghanaian music scene for a while has revealed why he has few music videos as compared to the many songs he’s recorded. He made this revelation on Hot Gist on Spyderlee Entertainment TV on Friday morning.

‘I don’t have a lot of videos for my songs because I didn’t want to be identified on the street. I wanted to be and behave like a ‘normal’ person. I used to buy ‘waakye’ a lot. With the music videos, people can download and watch you anytime. That makes you more popular but then I was advised by Daddy Lumba to start shooting videos because I’ve got mega hits. I once met the manager of Fela Kuti’s son at Apollo Theatre and he told me that, they were listening to ‘Wayee Wayee’ but found out that I had no video of the song. So I’m now up on my toes and shooting videos for all my songs,’ he told host Princepatt

Nana Quame is currently shooting a video for his latest song ‘)ka me ho’ which features and was written by Nero X.

According to him (Nana Quame), he wants people to know that God is with them, ‘I want people to know that God is always with us.

The fact that I’m doing highlife doesn’t mean I don’t know God or I’m not doing God’s work. My music has united people and reunited marriages.

There are some Gospel musicians who don’t even do the right things as expected of them. It’s not about doing gospel; it’s about the way you live.’
