Hiplife artistes upgrade skills

A group of Ghanaian artistes whose live musical performances in the year 2007 attracted commendations from a large number of music fans have declared their intention to perform with live band to enable them develop their musical talents so they can compete with their colleagues on the international music scene.


Outlining their plans, the management teams of the young artistes said they had already arranged with certain event promoters and organizers in Ghana to invite the artistes for seminars and workshops to upgrade their musical skills.


Two of the artistes, William Panford Bray, aka Wallace and Emelia A. Mensah won the hearts of music lovers with their dancing skills and stagecraft at a live musical concert held recently in Accra.


Although they are new entrants on the music scene, many see them as very talented artistes with bright future in both the local and international music markets.


Another young artiste with a silky voice, Frank Amankwah has been tipped to put up shows like those of Kaakyire Kwame Appiah and Naa Agyeman.


He is determined to change the trend of hiplife music in the country. According to Samuel Kojo Larweh, who manages Wallace and Emelia, the artistes have not relented in their efforts to make a difference in the world through their dynamic songs and stagecraft.
