Hollywood actress Kimberly Elise will return to Ghana for the premiere of Leila Djansi’s ‘Ties That Bind’, in which she played the role of Theresa Harper, one of the lead characters.
The film is scheduled for a grand red carpet premiere on December 30 with more surprises. There are huge billboards in town announcing the big event.
Kimberly was first in Ghana for the film’s shoot in March this year. It was also rumoured while working in Ghana that her children subsequently joined her to enjoy the Ghanaian hospitality. But it is unclear if she will be returning with her family.
Kimberly starred alongside Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Africa’s best actress Ama K Abebrese, Ebbe Bassey and Hollywood star Randal Batinkoff, among others, in the film. It is yet to be confirmed if all the stars will be at the premiere.
‘Ties That Bind’ is an interesting movie directed by Leila from the stables of Turning Point Pictures.
It is a story about Adobea, Buki and Theresa- played by Omotola Jalade, Ama K and Kimberly Elise- three women from three different backgrounds bound together by a similar pain; the loss of a child.
In a destined meeting in a small village in Kroboland, the women journey together to redemption, love, life and forgiveness as they renovate a dilapidated clinic for the villagers.
