Ghanaian socialite, Avram Ben Moshie, has stated that Hopeson Adorye, a leading member of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC) and the Deputy Director of Communications of the NPP, Ernest Owusu-Bempah, caused disruptions during the #FixTheCountry demonstration that occurred some time ago.
Avram mentioned that when himself and a group of people decided to embark on the protest to communicate their grievances to the government, Hopeson organized some individuals to conduct a similar event intended to discredit theirs.
The socialite pointed out that when his group organized another demonstration in Takoradi, located in the Western Region, Hopeson interfered with their efforts by accusing the protestors of stealing mobile phones and a sum of money.
In an interview with Kingdom FM, Avram remarked that it serves Hopeson Adorye right after he was arrested by the police recently, while his former political party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is still in power.
"When we started the FixTheCountry demo, Hopeson Adorye and Owusu Bempah were the ones who were troubling us. They were the ones behind the FixingTheCountry demo to counter ours.
"When we went to protest in Takoradi, he [Hopeson] accused us of stealing mobile phones, an amount of GH¢6,000, yet it was not true. He belonged to the NPP by then, but see how they are treating him the same way today," Avram disclosed.
It will be recalled that some aggrieved Ghanaians staged a protest dubbed the FixTheCountry demo, aimed at informing the government about the hardship in the country and the neglect by leadership.
