The popular Ghanaian dance group, DWP Academy, has praised two of its former talents, Afronitaaa and Abigail, for delivering a stunning performance on the global stage of Britain's Got Talent in 2024.
The academy took to social media on June 2, 2024, to congratulate the two, stating, "We are super proud of these two ladies for raising the Ghana flag high at this year’s BGT. Congrats, you did great for the culture."
The finale of Season 17 of Britain’s Got Talent was held on Sunday 2, 2024, in London, UK.
Afronitaaa and Talented Kidz winner, Abigail Dromo, secured the third-place spot.
Despite not being able to secure the top spot, the duo have been phenomenal from the start of the competition and have consistently wowed the judges with incredible performances.
Britain's Got Talent wrote about the two on its Instagram page, "Thrilling us in 3rd place is…Abigail & Afronitaaa. You should be so incredibly proud of all you’ve achieved, congratulations!"
Their performance, which captivated the hearts of many, has been a significant moment for many Ghanaians, who praised the duo for the global recognition of Ghana.
Afronitaaa, whose real name is Danita Akosua Adomaah Yeboah, decided to part ways with DWP Academy. The academy described the decision as tough but in line with their mission to build individual brands for the talented personalities in their fold.
Afronitaaa herself has spoken about her departure, framing it as a new beginning and expressing excitement for what lies ahead.
