Kumawood actress and makeup artist Naana Brown has disclosed how former fetish priestess Nana Agradaa, now known as Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, was compelled to take up pastoral duties.
While appearing on 'The Delay Show,' hosted by Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, Naana Brown recounted that she and her husband, Santiago, had a meeting with Agradaa.
She stated that it was during this meeting that Agradaa confided in them about her intention to become a pastor.
According to Naana Brown, the former fetish priestess disclosed that a prominent individual had contacted her about the current Inspector General of Police, Dr. Akuffo Dampare, noting he was becoming very strict.
"My husband and I were sitting in her (Agradaa's) hall after she was arrested for the first time, and she burnt her idols. During all those times, we were on good terms. So, we visited her one day, and she told us that we should all be quiet for now because the IGP is very wild," she said.
"...A prominent person had called her and suggested she burn her idols and become a pastor since her husband was already a pastor and she also had a church building. She decided she would use that as a medium to become a pastor," the Kumawood actress claimed.
Background
On April 28, 2021, the well-known fetish priestess Nana Agradaa publicly renounced her ties to the African Traditional Religion, embracing Christianity and declaring herself a born-again Christian.
Renouncing her former title, the once-called Nana Agradaa said she had embraced a new chapter in her life and now wished to be recognized as Evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng, marking a significant personal and spiritual transformation.
This transformation, according to the woman formerly known as Patience Asiedua, was prompted by a divine revelation and the guidance of Pastor Joseph Kyere, the leader of Trusted World Ministry.
"I have decided to leave my past as a fetish priestess behind. The name Nana Agradaa no longer resonates with me... I am grateful for the Lord's mercy, the spiritual calling I've embraced, and the salvation I've found.
"During a recent Sunday service, my pastor revealed that the Lord has given me a new purpose as Evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng," Agradaa shared with the media.
Furthermore, Agradaa offered a heartfelt apology to anyone who might have been adversely impacted by her previous practices as a fetish priestess.
